This restaurant is exceptional. The food was exceptional, the service was exceptional, the prices were exceptionally affordable for that quality of food. My criticisms are minor. I thought the staff uniforms weren't pleasing on the eye, mostly the colour of the shirts. The interior and terrace decor were a bit too contemporary for me but that's all. I paid €95/£82 for a three course meal including a glass of wine, two very good cocktails, homemade bread and flavoured butter & a tiny extra dessert. I thought that a very fair price. I could have eaten pretty much anything off the menu. I had sauteed fois gras for starter, which was excellent, balanced, complimentary textures and tastes to the rich pate. I also tasted the scallops, again excellent. For main I had pork loin wrapped in ham, magnificent. So too was the duck that I tried. Dessert was a trio of chocolate dishes, delicate but indulgent. This place is a must in Faro if you want contemporary fine Portuguese & European dining, without exorbitant costs. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Avoid like it will make you sick. Because it actually will. The worst value to taste meal I've ever purchased in my life. Decent accessibility, no stairs to the terrace or facilities. Facilities clean and well maintained. One of the only good things about this awful establishment. It starts with the "house cocktail" which sounds lovely, but arrives half full and tastes naff for €12. That sets the tone. Pay for quality, get rubbish. Nothing lives up to the menu description. The food is bland, boring, bad. CheckIn takes wonderful ingredients and makes them taste disappointing, and charges you exorbitant prices for them to do it. Pay for quality? Fine. Don't sell me rubbish and tell me it's gold, because I know the difference. Here you pay for people to badly prepare every dish. That's not ideal. Scallops. Foie gras. Mackerel. Lamb. Salmon. We had a variety of dishes. All sounded lovely. All arrived tasteless, underwhelming or even worse badly cooked. Nothing came out anything better than okay. Many were so much worse. One of our party was violently ill before the desserts after the scallop dish. We raised this with the staff, not to be awkward or swerve a bill, but to provide feedback and suggest potentially somebody in the kitchen or something might be off. We were told "If it had been one dish, we might have agreed, but if you don't like so many, you're wrong". Misplaced confidence. Arrogance. Low quality food, low quality service. The staff couldn't be pleasant, the food couldn't reach the standard of not making one quarter of the table ill. If you like food, avoid. Price per person: €50+

Spent an evening in Faro whilst in Algarve. Picked this restaurant at random. It was an excellent choice. Tried four plates between two of us. They were all outstanding. If we were staying in Faro I would go back here again. Staff were informed and attentive. Menu is original and caters for different tastes. There are lots of clever additions to each dish we tried. House red wine at €5 a glass was superb. In my opinion this is food well above the standard of most restaurants and the cost is reasonable. One small criticism is the location on a not very pretty street, but that didn’t detract from a near perfect evening. Well done to the staff.
