I think it's easy to lean towards a restaurant with a beach side view in Ahangama. However, when eating out, it's the food and drinks that really count. Citra provided the best food and drinks that we had in all of Sri Lanka! The menu is well thought out, you will pay a higher price but it will not be lost on the quality. The space is beautiful, so much greenery and plenty of fans to keep you cool. Great for a date night or something special to treat yourself! Price per person: Rs 10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A true gem on the south coast. Great ambiance with a spaceous setting and sweet background music, lovely staff and by far the best fine dine experience I have had in Sri Lanka. I came for a one time dining but came back three more times. The fish Lettuce wraps, pumpkin in curry sauce and silk chardonnay were by far my favorite. The home pasta, golden curry and ciabatta were a true delight as well. The candle light made me stay, the taste made me come back for more. Its not about whether you should go or not. More so about what to order. This truly is a place to enrich your taste and more so to enjoy a moment of true intimacy in the présence of yourself, loved ones, life. Price per person: Rs 9,000–10,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Absoluut fijne opties!

We’ve already been to this restaurant three times – and that says it all. The food is outstanding: beautifully prepared, high-quality, and absolutely delicious. Every dish feels thoughtful and well-crafted. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing, making it a great place to sit back and enjoy, and the service is truly perfect – attentive, kind, and professional. We also had the pleasure of meeting Niv, who is in charge of the kitchen – he was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more special.
