Good fish and perfectly cooked filet américain are among the dishes to be ordered at this bar. The efficient staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The cool service is a big advantage of COOKTL. Here you will pay adequate prices. The peaceful atmosphere gladdens visitors and attracts more clients. Wow! So often, I've found that places with a menu full of signature cocktails will have tried so desperately to serve something unique that they stray far from the basic principles of the classic cocktail and you are left with gimmicky troughs of overly sweet abominations. I'm happy to report that is NOT the case at COOKTL. The cocktail offerings are distinctive, but balanced. Their plays on the classics are enough to set them apart and provide for an exclusive experience while maintaining the integrity of the craft. We went just as they opened on a weekday and were the only patrons there at the time. The prices are in line with what you would expect at a Michelin star establishment, but the quality and care with which they are crafted is certainly worth the few extra euros. One of the things I look to when judging the quality of a cocktail experience is their ice. For "drinkers", that may seem silly, but for true cocktail enthusiasts/aficionados the ice selection is key. We had 4 cocktails and each had it's own curated ice pairing perfectly selected to accent the style of each drink and the chosen glassware for each. The bartender was excellent! She was well versed in the menu and explained each cocktail component in detail which was a lovely experience for those of us that have a deep interest in the craft. The terrace is stunning and though we were alone at the time, the table spacing would be very comfortable for conversation even when fully booked. Overall, excellent experience and we look forward to going back to work our way through the entirety of the cocktail menu. We've considered dinner at Salita, but have not yet done so. After this experience at COOKTL, we've decided that is a must. With as much care and consideration as they have poured into their cocktails, I can only imagine the detail and delicacy that goes into the food. PRO TIP: Google Maps shows the entrance to be the gate on south side of the terrace which is misleading.
