We enjoyed being back at The Cabbage Tree. It was a quiet and cold evening mid-week. Our meals were good and the service was excellent. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Kid-friendliness: Kid menu available and our kid enjoyed his choice, along with the ice-cream cone for dessert.

If you visit Invercargill at the southern end of the South Island in New Zealand, you should definitely pay a visit to The Cabbage Tree Restaurant. This popular pub/restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. I had dinner there with my daughter in September and we couldn't fault the food. The portions were of a good size, well cooked and presented and the friendly manager was on hand to make sure we were enjoying our meal. I would definitely eat there again. Depending on what time you eat, carry on another couple of kilometers and the beach is at the end of the road. There you will see the most beautiful sunsets, weather permitting of course.
