This was our favorite meal in Japan having gone all over to many different cities! We highly recommend this mom and pop restaurant for delicious, home cooked, healthy, fresh food. We loved it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I found Cafe 883 by searching for food near Tokyo Skytree and it appeared as a recommendation from a "x best y near z" sort of list. The cafe itself is small with three tables and three or four bar seats. We were sat by the door and my buddy (6'2) took the bench seat so he wouldn't body block anyone. They have an English menu. If the middle table is free they could seat up to four. A family with younger children came to the cafe a little bit after us. I got the Hamburger steak set (about 1000¥) with an Oolong tea to drink (400¥). The chef came around to let me know that the patty was cooked. Maybe the chef was chewed out by someone who only eats well-done beef. The meat looked medium done and had a demi-glace sauce. It was easy enough for me to break apart and eat with chopsticks. There was also a green salad, potato salad, mushroom soup, rice, and I think nata de Coco for a little dessert. It was all good. My buddy got the ginger pork and an alcoholic calpis soda. Total was 2,910. If you're looking to take a break from the crushing crowd of Skytree or if you like these cozy hole in the wall spaces, I recommend this place.
