So..I was reluctant to return to this Dive Cafe. But a co-worker asked me to meet them there. My gut was right, again! 1st of all, the menu prices on the wall don't match what they charge you at the kiosk. WTF! Bait n switch? Really? This is the 2nd time they pulled that mess. AND the service from the staff always sucks. And train your staff on how to conduct adequate business. Get out of Harlem if you can't bring honesty & decent service! Unless you want mediocre EVERYTHING, do NOT spend your money here.

The absolutely perfect place to meet friends, get work done (maybe no laptops though?? idk i always do my work in notebooks), get drinks, and anything else. The sandwiches and bagels are great. It truly is a neighborhood spot. Ditch your one note stuffy coffee spots immediately. It's nice and flexible because it's just counter service not table service, but definitely has a much more of a traditional european cafe feeling than a rushed and transactional american coffee place.

Cafe Amrita is a mainstay for me and my roommates as we live close by. The veggie delight sandwich is so good and I could not recommend their chai latte with oat milk more!! It also turns into more of a bar vibe at night. Try an espresso martini!
