This was like walking distance from our house for 6 years but never thought of stopping here. Until moved to a different location and came to visit. Had a nice warm cuppa coffee. Nothing exceptional but was good enough. A lot of people got bahn mi, so it must be good. But we weren't hungry.
This place is closed and something else is on its place now.

And I thought this was just another coffee shop! The other day I was skulking around yelp looking for something new and different when I came upon Cafe Au Lait. A Banh Mi shop right here in Ellicott City?? No way!! YES way!! I headed there for lunch today. Grilled pork Banh Mi with the works and a Cafe Au Lait House Special Coffee on the rocks. The bread was fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Love the pickled veg and the pork was very tender and nicely seasoned. The House Special Cafe had quite a kick and was most tasty! I first tried Banh Mi at Lee's several years ago in Garden Grove CA and was hooked. Only problem is that the trade show that took me to Anaheim every year is a non event now that I am retired. So, imagine my delight and surprise. I give Cafe Au Lait "two snaps and around the world"!! (A Living Color reference) That equates to 5/5 in yelp talk. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
