Open from Wednesday to Saturday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Cafe Bocu welcomes patrons to enjoy hearty yet healthy meals. Many have noted the quality of their handmade breads, often leading to satisfying purchases to take home. The dining atmosphere is said to be gentle and soothing, making it a pleasant option for families with children or those seeking a romantic meal. While the culinary options on offer provide comfort and satisfaction, details regarding dinner service or any misunderstandings remain unverified due to the absence of recent updates.
Those exploring the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route occasionally stumble upon this off-the-beaten-path gem when other eateries may not be open. With an emphasis on coffee and select offerings, the restaurant maintains a moderate pricing level that appeals to varied dining preferences. Though visitor reviews and firsthand experiences exist, it's important to note the information available hasn't been updated in recent years, suggesting caution if expectations hinge upon newer amenities or changes at Cafe Bocu.
I used it for lunch. It's healthy, but it's also hearty and will fill you up! The taste was also very delicious. They also sell handmade breads made by the shop staff, and they all looked delicious so I bought some on the way home! Although it was a reasonable price, it was fluffy and delicious. It's a difficult place to get to without a car, but I would love to go there again!
I’ve walked the Kumano Kodo numerous times, but only found this place when other lunch options were closed. I’m very glad I found this hidden gem. It’s slightly off the Kumano Kodo, but well worth the short detour.
