My server was friendly. I'm a sucker for good customer service and big smiles when greeted. The bathroom was clean- another important thing when dining out. I thought the beet salad was good but only a few beets; can hardly call it a beet salad it was more arugula. The Monaparte crepe was mediocre, nothing spectacular. I recommend going when it's quiet.  The brunch hour can get really busy and it's a very small and tight space.

I have to join the other mourners for Cafe Bonaparte. Just tried "Lutèce" and was not impressed. Had the onion soup (nothing like the photo here, which was a Bonaparte version) this one has little cheese, not a lot of onions & the soup had none of the hearty & delicate onion/cheese/wine taste of a good onion soup.  Nothing can match memories of Café Laruche onion soup, but this was sad. Moules frites were equally mundane. The escargot app was nice, but a restaurant cannot survive on snails alone. Also the Yelp description still references it as a creperie, which it is no longer. If you're going to "transform" your restaurant (ie stop serving your signature dishes & customer favorites) at least have the professionalism to adjust your description & avoid this bait & switch. Nice locale, nice service, people seemed happy at the bar, but will be exploring other neighborhood options.

I've had the opportunity to dine at Cafe Bonaparte several times through the holiday season, with various business acquaintances and family. Every dining experience has been one of fresh delicious food, very nice red wines by the glass or cocktails. The appetizers and entrees varied: mussels to escargot; kale, beet or other salads; soups; steak frites or one of many dinner crepe offerings. The staff is always on top of their service, and they offer  honest and well described opinions on all aspects of that day's options. If not up for a full meal, I'd recommend lighter dining at the bar - or just cocktails! Brunch on the weekends is great too. Obviously I (and lots of friends) are now fans. You
