I’ve been staying at the Fairmont and decided to go to Cafe Connect for lunch. It was initially difficult to find someone to seat us. Eventually we are seated outside (by who I assume was a manager) and told that he will bring menus. Menus never arrived. We flagged down another waitress who gave us a menu and said she would be back to take our order. Never came, so we decided to leave. On our way out, the original person who said they would bring the menus said thanks for joining us? Definitely not the service I would expect. 12/11 updating my review to 4/5. I received a very apologetic phone call in my hotel room. In an effort to make amends they provided me with some complimentary desserts and a formal apology. I’m updating my review since they went above and beyond to make things right. Still only 4/5 since this should not have happened in the first place. Service: 4
