The great location of this place makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. Perfectly cooked bacon, filet américain and wagyu beef burgers can make a favorable impression on you. Tasty lemon pie, fruitcake and cupcakes are the best dishes. Here you can order good bitter. It's time to degustate delicious tea, chai latte or hot chocolate.

There seems to be some confusion as to whether this is a restaurant or cafe. In the past it was a beautiful fine dining experience, now it is a cafe charging restaurant prices. The food was ok and it was nice to have a glass of wine with lunch. However, the service was SLOW. Once meals were ordered they came out quickly but catching the eye of someone to order was difficult and drinks took forever. No desserts appear on the menu. The display cabinet I was directed to was in the sun, so the few choices available were sweating. I came here as a treat for a friend and was disappointed. This is a cafe not a restaurant, the food is ok not great and the service was friendly but too slow. There were no specials which seems strange given the promotion of the kitchen garden. There was no apparent attention to detail with a vase of flowers on the centre bench filled with dead and drooping blooms. The prices are high for a cafe and the quality is low for a restaurant. No longer a destination for a special meal. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A sign says wait to be seated, but it took a long time, dodging the rain, to be acknowledged. We ordered coffees that ever came. We asked for water that ever came. We wanted to order food - felt insurmountable. The young staff were run off their feet and the woman in charge was quite rude. They need more staff. What a shame this is the only option at the wonderful Heide Museum of Modern Art. Pack a picnic instead. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Patrick and I were lucky enough to have our wedding at Heide in December 2023. We honestly cannot give more praise to the Heide kitchen team! They were incredible and so accommodating from day one when we were looking for the perfect venue to even days after the big day. Cassie was brilliant at helping us create the most amazing wedding and was a wealth of knowledge on events. Everyone commented on how the Heide team made them feel like they were the most important person in the room so it wasn’t just our experience as the bride and groom! Our celebrant was full of praise for the Heide team on how well organised they were. It poured with rain on the day and we had to invoke the wet weather plan but it was just as beautiful as if it was out in the grounds and the Heide team were very accommodating.
