I came to Numata Station for the first time in a while. In the past, when a train arrived, it would be crowded with passengers transferring to the bus bound for Oze Katashina, and the restaurants around the station would be busy. Nowadays, there are no regular express or limited express trains running directly from Ueno, there are almost no buses or tourists, and the shopping street in front of the station is quiet. Since we have some time until we are picked up from our hotel in Oigami Onsen, we stop for coffee at Heimat. The lodge-style interior is bright and the gentle master welcomes you. Ordered homemade baked cheesecake and blended coffee. The cheesecake contains some special apples. I was alone in the store as it was a weekday afternoon, but I hope they continue to do so.
