The best Americano coffee I've had in all of Merida hands down! I know that's a bold statement. But it's truly sincere and worth paying every dollar for, even if it's on the pricer side compared to other cafés around Merida. I say this because I've been here for 5 weeks now trying different cafés and restaurants almost every day, and thus far, Café Lave always stands out in my mind for their bold yet non acidic smooth expresso above all the rest of the cafés around. The banana bread tastes just like my Grandmas recipe back home in Canada. And I'm pretty sure that may have been what the lady owner said to me, that this was her Grandmas recipe. "Don't quote me 100% on that because I could be remembering that statement wrong." But regardless, it's scrumptious, and it took me back in time with every bite to my childhood days at Grandmas house. Thank you for transportating me back in time to very fond memories with your baked goods and serving delicious coffee.:) Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
