Our waiter Roy was so quick and attentive and he was always smiling making us feel welcomed. The warm Cinnamon roll was sooo good also. Amazing experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Before I start, I need to preface that I didn’t eat here. I attempted to eat and drink here, before leaving. We had a group of five and wanted to sit down. The lady (blue dress) who we spoke to told us to wait while other people were seated first. That’s totally fine because they were first and I believe we’d come in from the side of the cafe, not the main door, where I assume they’d been greeted. All fine. When we eventually served by the same person, we were told that as a group of five, we couldn’t sit on two small tables, and would need to be a big one because our group was more than four. In itself, that is totally fine, but the exact group who had just come in was exactly the same size, and she had sat them down across two tables as we wished. We pushed back on this, asking why, and were told that it was busy. As you can see in the attached photos it absolutely wasn’t busy, with I’d estimate, around 40% of outside space available. Not to mention nobody sat out of the front of the building when we left, or waiting to get in. She clarified that these tables weren’t even reserved, but that they might get people later. That doesn’t wash when she literarily sat people down 60 seconds before in the exact same circumstances. To make it worse, her attitude was of disdain and almost looking down on us. What was slightly more concerning is that all the people I was coming in with weren’t native English speakers. Frankly, it felt racially motivated. I’m absolutely disgusting by this persons attitude. Judging by the fact she’s wearing a different colour to the rest of the staff I assume she might be management. For anybody to speak to us with such a look of contempt is appalling. Yet alone showcasing such hypocrisy in front of us. It’s easy to tell when somebody doesn’t want you in their establishment. I wouldn’t recommend this place with that attitude, something I’ve never experienced in this country before. Cafe Linea is situated in a nice but you should eat or drink literarily anywhere else in the whole of London.
