Greasy and dishevelled, I sought out a quick lunch in my neighbourhood after 3 hours of meetings. Determined to go to a specific spot, I paused at Neon Commissary mid-journey. What I originally assumed was a ghost kitchen had some signage promoting…lunch? Hmm, this is certainly worth investigating! After bravely stepping inside, I saw breakfast sandwiches, pastries, retail dry goods and a dope looking freezer section. Greeted warmly, my dude Jake made the whole experience a delight. Feeling silly for not having tried this hidden gem sooner, I made up for it by sampling a breakfast sandwich, croissant and home made granola. Sandwich was fresh and tasty and pastry was top notch! Gotta go back and get the sourdough next time as per Jake’s recommendation - they’ll slice it for you! Apologies for ghosting you for 6 years, Neon! I’ll be back soon!
