Café Oven Vande is pretty near Church of Our Saviour. The piquant flavours of Danish and Scandinavian cuisines attract many customers. Nicely cooked goat cheese salads, salmon and club sandwiches are among the dishes to be tried at this cafe. Do not go away without tasting good che. As clients write in their reviews, beer offered at Café Oven Vande is delicious. A lot of visitors order great latte, juice or tea.

The great location of this place makes it easy to reach by any transport. A number of people have noticed that the staff is well-trained here. The professional service is a big benefit of this spot. Ive got to hand it to Cafe Oven Vandet. I was completely surprised by how good the food was. We had risen our Donkey bikes from the Main Train Station and it was time for lunch and some beers. We looked around the area near Vor Frelsers Church and my wife chose Cafe over Vandet despite the scaffolding around the building which is under renovation. We ordered two open face sandwiches (smørrebrød) and two beers and after a few minutes a miracle appears -- beautifully made and presented smørrebrød. My wife got salmon; I had the marinated herring. Both were fabulous and came with all the little things that Danes have perfected over the last centuries -- the right bread for the protein, the correct spread on the bread, and the perfect accompaniments on top. Both were huge, covered an entire plate. I'm not saying that this cafe had the best smørrebrød in CPH. I'm sure there are other restaurants who do just as well. But this was a great example of how to turn out a very high quality sandwich. Extra points: the cafe is on Overgaden Oven Vandet that runs along one side of Christianhavn's Canal. The street on the opposite side is Overgaden Under Vandet. The Street Over the Water and the Street Under the Water. There's got to be a great story here.
