A beautiful, high ceiling space along the outdoor wall windows facing 7th Street inside the Downtown Anchorage Marriott. I really enjoyed our stay here at the hotel. This restaurant was where we ate a few breakfasts and a few dinners during our stay. The space is open, with high ceilings, and plenty of different types of seating. You'll find open couches, a bar, booth seating and table seating throughout. There's the usual hotel food - a caesar salad, a hamburger, sandwiches and some larger dinner dishes. The bar is a full bar, with a wine list, beers on tap and in bottle, and any cocktail you can make. When we visited, in July 2022, the entire hotel -- in fact the entire city of Anchorage -- seemed to be severely understaffed. The staff working here looked extremely stressed out, and it took a long time to get orders into the kitchen and then get served again. Hopefully that situation is solved soon. Nice people working here, they just seemed very stressed and trying to catch up with everything.
The restaurant/bar is located in the Downtown Anchorage Marriott. They have a full-service bar with seating and an adequate sized dining area. There are a few parking options. The hotel offers valet and there is metered street parking, commercial parking lots and garages within reasonable walking distance. There is a television above the bar that usually has sports playing. The place has kind of a trendy/hip vibe. They offer in room dining for hotel guest and they have a relatively compact menu. The bartender/server that waited on me while I was there was awesome. He was so friendly and nice. I ordered my food to-go and without asking, he got me some water while I waited. I ordered the salmon BLT with fries. It was delicious. Packed with flavor. This joint is definitely a viable dining option among the other downtown restaurants, even you you are not a guest there. Even though I admit that it is very convenient for guests. They have top notch service, savory cocktails and delicious food.
