I visited Cafe RIMSE for a light, comforting meal and really appreciated its calm, warm atmosphere. The interior is simple and wooden, very inviting – a perfect place to slow down and rest, especially on a cold day. We ordered Cep Ohaw (Salmon Soup), a traditional Ainu-style soup. The taste was very simple and gently umami — not strongly seasoned, but nourishing and surprisingly filling. It felt honest and comforting rather than elaborate. We also tried Penemo (Ainu-style potato dumpling), made from frozen potato. The texture was dense and hearty, very rustic in character, and clearly rooted in local food traditions. What truly stood out were the drinks. We had Kamuy Tonoto (Ainu-style sake), which was excellent — delicate, smooth, and refined, with a clean, well-balanced taste. In addition, we tried Ento tea, a local herbal tea made from wild plants traditionally used by the Ainu. It was very gentle, subtle, and calming. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
