We visited a truly charming pizza restaurant today, one that already enjoys glowing reviews. The setting is beautiful, the garden is enchanting, the atmosphere lovely, and the music relaxing. Service was attentive and quiet, with thoughtful touches like cinnamon-scented mosquito spray offered without us even asking (and very much needed!). Our waiter was lovely, quick, and welcoming. That said, there were some drawbacks. As we’ve noticed elsewhere in Sri Lanka, dishes didn’t arrive together, perhaps a local custom, but still a bit inconvenient. The bigger issue was around food intolerances: when I asked for a salad without certain ingredients, I was served a plate of just 10 lettuce leaves, priced at 3000 LKR. When I raised this, the salad was offered free of charge, but I declined, it’s a matter of principle, as such a dish simply shouldn’t be served. On the positive side, when an item we ordered wasn’t available, it was replaced without extra charge. The bill came to 13,368 LKR for three people, which felt closer to London city pricing than what the location, food quality, or proportions justified. The pizzas themselves scored around 6–7 in our books, decent, but not exceptional Pasta was tasty but salty. In short: a restaurant with genuine charm, good service, and a lovely setting, but lacking common sense in handling dietary needs and pricing. Price per person: Rs 3,000–4,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Multiple pizza options and other Dietary restrictions: Not recommended

Great food, Blissful ambiance, Excellent service. I have been frequenting both Cafe Rafaella and Giovanni's for the past few years and I have ALWAYS had the best experience as a customer. 10/10 would recommend it as the perfect date spot + hangout spot for groups of friends.
