It was rather confusing on how to order/where to order. I do take responsibility for this though, as we don't speak German. There was a slight language barrier. The food was good, especially the Dom Waffle! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: €10–20 Kid-friendliness: So so. There were a number of smokers on the patio area, so it's not super great for littles.

I was very hungry as I was out to get my contact lenses from a local shop, so I decided to eat a quick breakfast out in Cologne. I found Café Riese in the area of Neumarkt. At the foot of the street “Schildergasse”, you find this café. You can sit outside or inside. I went inside and everything neat and tidy. I saw the menu and ordered two fried eggs on toast with a creamy hot chocolate - just enough for me. It was well presented with a salad leaf and a tomato and well-fried eggs with a runny yolk in the middle, just perfect! The hot chocolate came with a thick cream on top, not out of a spray can; it was properly homemade and very chocolaty in flavour. The price was decent and I would definitely go again. Thank you to the wonderful waitress who served me breakfast this morning. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €10–20 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section Vegetarian options: Nice waitresses and good quality.
