I’m so disappointed every time I’ve gone after work around 8 pm there is always no food at all. Today I went and they only had beans and rice that were ready. They don’t close until 10pm so I don’t understand why they never have food at that time ? I love the food but ive noticed that in all locations they do this. Do better in the night shifts too not just the day shifts. They never seem to even want to make more food or even have food cooking at night. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

So disappointed.. possibly the worst location in town. I live close by. Thus, I went here when they first opened. Had a bad experience then and I haven't been back since. However, that was more than a year ago, possibly two, I figured they have gotten better. Unfortunately not. I had the worst tostada tonight. Barely any chicken or rice, huge clumps of cheese I couldn't even swallow, as it was not spread out over the non-existent meat but thrown on there in clumps. Also, the cilantro I asked for was completely left off. I was told they were "out" of the sauce I requested. Yet, when we got to the container, there was clearly sauce. Even though just a little bit, I had to point it out to the employee and request it again. Not to mention portion size. Total waste of money.. and, I used to love this restaurant. I ate at their Sahara location at least once a week when I worked close by. I don't want to give up on Cafe Rio but these repeated bad experiences are really leaving a bad taste in my mouth.. quite literally. My food was nasty tonight and not worth it. I recently visited Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican, and I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The lady who made my meal was incredibly nice and friendly, which added a great personal touch to my experience. However, the cashier seemed to be having a rough morning and had a bit of an attitude, which was unfortunate. It didn’t overshadow the quality of the food, though—it was truly the highlight of my visit. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Cafe Rio for the delicious food and friendly service from the prep staff. Just hoping for a better vibe at the register next time.
