Coffee at Cafe Rokka
Cafe Rokka is a humble establishment nestled in Myoko, specifically located on the street Akakura. Despite its unassuming presence, it offers a range of services for those seeking a laid-back cafe experience. Visitors have the option to indulge in their choice of kerbside pickup, takeaway, or dine-in, although delivery is not part of the current offerings. The cafe focuses on serving coffee, catering to those who appreciate a straightforward caffeine fix.

Curiously, Cafe Rokka has yet to become a staple in popular restaurant directories, with only a minimal Google profile available for reference. User engagement appears minimal, as no reviews have been submitted to give potential guests insight into what awaits them. Additionally, details regarding operating hours remain unspecified, suggesting a possible lapse in recent updates from the establishment’s management. With this limited information, Cafe Rokka remains an enigma within the local dining scene, inviting patrons to discover its simplicity firsthand.

(Review for 14/02/2026) I convinced my family to try this cafe at the bottom of one of the local ski resorts, as I'd seen good reviews on it. So, coming in I had high expectations...and I am happy to say they were all met! The owner speaks English and Japanese, and was very friendly and provided a wonderful service and atmosphere. When I had DMed her earlier about parking availability, she quickly responded and then even sent a map. I expected something small with only a few seats so was somewhat worried about whether our party of 3 would find a place to sit, but the cafe actually has a variety of seating from couches to small tables to larger tables for groups and even a bar like seating. Everything was spaced out nicely, so even though our group was talking and another couple of customer pairs were having conversations nothing really overlapped. It was very comfortable and homey, and our drinks and food were served quickly with an eye to not only artistic gourman design but, more importantly in my view, taste! We decided to try a variety of pastries; a chocolate cookie, a light cheesecake, a decadent chocolate delight, and a petite apple pie. Everything was delicious, and the prices were reasonable considering this is a resort/tourist area. I believe the offerings change on a semi-regular basis. I also found my new addiction; dirty chai. I've tried these before at different places, and they were okay, but the owners interpretation of this drink was out of this world! I appreciated the little extra designs crafted with foam on top too; nice added touch. While we visited, my family members were the only Japanese (aside from the owner), as the area is popular with non-Japanese tourists. A steady stream of customers came in and out as it is right near the lifts. But it never felt crowded, and we sat and enjoyed our drinks and pastries for about an hour. It was such a wonderfully, relaxing experience! If you are visiting during the winter and plan to drive up, snowtires and 4wd is recommended, but the cafe has parking and there are also nearby free lots within walking distance. I definitely recommend you stop in at Cafe Rokka though. I know we will make it a regular stop for us as we spend a lot of time in the area. I'm glad we finally took the chance to visit, as it paid off for our taste buds and our easing our stress levels! Can't wait to go back! Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thank you for visiting us and for the glowing review! Knowing that you loved our dirty chai and the overall atmosphere is the best feedback I could ask for. I love seeing our customers enjoy their time in their own way with a good cup of coffee. Looking forward to seeing you all again when you are in the area next time!
