Once the promenade around the Brindleyplace is over, visit Cafe Rouge. If you're a French cuisine lover, come here. You will be served nicely cooked minute steaks, garlic prawns and smoked salmon. Cooks at this restaurant do their best to provide guests with good tarte tatin, crème brûlée and chocolate fondant. This place is famous for delicious house wine, rose gin or prosecco. Cafe Rouge offers great latte, tea or fresh juices among its drinks.
Come to this place to celebrate an anniversary, wedding or a birthday party. Most visitors mention that the staff is accommodating. If you want to experience fabulous service, you should visit this spot. From the guests' point of view, prices are attractive. The terrific decor and cozy atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. We didn't realise it was so late 20:50pm, but called on off chance to see if we could get in as we had 50% voucher off mains. On arrival approx. 9:10pm (they close at 10pm) we were made very welcome & the whole experience was unhurried. All staff were smiley, friendly, helpful even offering menu recommendations. We ended up being last to leave, some staff had departed post shift but manager remained attentive & charming We appreciate there are 100's of dining options in Birmingham & then some but as close to hotel & we'd received fantastic service as well as very tasty & hot food considering we were last to be served, we decided to try brunch.We were greeted by the same waiter from the night before who warmly welcomed us and showed to the same table as he remembered & also reminded us of our voucher offer that we could use again. The following staff that served us were also smiley, genuine & thorough in what was on offer. Once again the food was delicious, hot, appealing just a tad too much oil on both the corned beef & confit duck hashes personally for us, but no biggy!The off duty manager happened to be on site and recognised us from the night before. He came over, shook hands and exchanged pleasantries and he felt like a familiar friend rather than a proprietor. He didn't have to do that on his day off and once again we complemented him on the staff that day,who apart from 1 waiter were different from the night before. The camaraderie that we saw within the team made it seem ,like it was a great place to work.All weekend we experienced friendliness & warmth from everyone we met working in Birmingham. This review may seem over the top reading it, however my friend & I have over 60 years plus customer service experience between us and we felt all at Cafe Rouge Brindley Place considering it is a chain/ franchise really felt we were looked after and it is very rare to experience what we did twice. Our regular hostelries we frequent at home are miles away from of this level of service.Well done, congratulations & thank you, we will see you again!Karen & Tracey, Middlewich Cheshire.
