You should delete the “Eggs Benedict” listing on your menu because you serve something that is not even close to the classic breakfast dish. You do not use the traditional English muffins but rather stale bread that I was unable to cut, even with the steak knife provided. (That should have given me a hint that the “bread” was tough.) I left the rest unchallenged. Then you served dried-out, chewy bacon instead of the softer and more flavorful Canadian Bacon. You obviously do not know how basted eggs are prepared because you served two well-cooked poached eggs that did not provide a yolk to mix with the Hollandaise Sause, that, by the way, was minimal and under the eggs rather than on top. The final insult was a request for home fries well done, not charcoal, tough and chewy that you served. It is quite simple, a little cooking oil on a hot grill, a layer of home fries, with a small frying pan on top that provides golden brown potatoes. So, please delete Eggs Benedict from your menu as you have no idea what that is, and don’t insult your patrons with what you may think is an improvement on a classic.
