I stopped in to get a coffee after seeing a review that mentioned a talented barista and exquisite foam on a flat white. I’m particular when it comes to my coffee. The Tennyson did not disappoint. My flat white was excellent in both flavor and texture. Perfection. As per usual, I got tempted by the pastry case and chose the most divine coconut lemon cake. Thrilled I came here and will definitely stop by again anytime I’m in Napier. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: NZ$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food is amazing as it’s always been! However the service is so bad now - the staff just stand around and talk even when there’s customers waiting to be served, it dosent seem to have much structure. We weren’t given water, had half table service. Coffee wasn’t great and was served in a basically a bowl - which is weird unless requested. I used to love it here but it’s not the same.
