I did return for the chicken salad sandwich...chunks of real chicken, minced celery, mayo and mustard equals big delicious sandwich. Lettuce and tomato freshened the taste-this is a star sandwich. Veg on the side again. Cafe Tica is a wonderful lunch stop when in the Cambie and Broadway area. A quick walk along 8th from Winners. Nice food, nice folks. Try Cafe Tica soon.

Cafe Tica is truly a neighbourhood gem. My grilled cheese (6.50CDN) on whole wheat-crispy bread, melty cheese...and is this parmesan cheese on the outside? What pure delight is this? Choose the veg side for pickles, cuke, fresh red and yellow peppers, those interminable baby carrots-all crunchy, cool and refreshing. Wow. I will return to sample the soup and chicken salad club sandwich. Very busy place early afternoon. Patio seating, located on the corner of 8th and Alberta, one block north of Broadway. Very much worth walking a block.
