I recently had the opportunity to return to Cafe Tiramisu in its new location. It is still in the Northridge Shopping Center, but it's moved to the section near Ace Hardware. The restaurant space is still small, though it feels a bit larger than their previous location. I did my best to snap a few photos, but it is very popular, even on a Monday. Parking seemed a little easier in this section, so we were able to park closer to the entrance. I was with a large group, and the staff did a wonderful job moving tables together to accommodate us all, even though we took up a lot of the seating for the night. The staff was just as friendly and attentive as I remembered. A few of us had a little trouble hearing our waiter, but that was likely just from the normal noise levels in a cozy, busy space. I decided to try something new and ordered the chicken mascarpone. The chicken itself was delicious, and I had never had it stuffed with cheese before, but the overall dish was just a bit too rich for me with so many heavy flavors combined. It featured a fettuccine Alfredo base topped with the thin chicken breast stuffed with spinach, mascarpone, and mozzarella cheese, all finished with a layer of marinara sauce. I had planned to get dessert but didn't feel like any of the options on rotation that night. They had a chocolate cake, a rum coconut cake, a cannoli, their signature tiramisu, and an Amaretto cake. Hopefully, they will bring back the Almond Joy Pie for my next visit!
