Food worth the money, but you leave with a bitter taste in your mouth because of the service This review is based on my experience on the 27th of February. My guess is because we didn’t order any champagne or aperol, our table was not really in the servers zone of attention. While tables around us got asked ‘would you like another glass of?’, our table with cola zero, coffee and sparkling water was not worth the hassle. But that’s fine - we are simple people who don’t need any special treatment. We really enjoyed our food - it was a good portion and it felt straight out of the fire as everything was really warm, something that is really nice when eating out on a terrace at the end of February. However, the cherry on top was when we were about to leave and the server - my guess is of Russian nationality as I am familiar with the accent that I would hear back home in Lithuania - instead of asking if all was good or if we would like a dessert or another cup of coffee, found it appropriate to rather make fun of how one of us left the table. I assume that the restaurant is well stocked up with white tablecloths, so it should not be a problem if one of them gets dirty while eating. But the server found it important to ask my brother-in-law ‘WHAT IS THIS?!‘ while pointing at the red spots left by red cabbage from his burger. Her recommendation for the future was truly worth 5 stars: ‘Next time you come here, maybe I should provide you with a bib’. I wonder how many guests has she dared to try out this joke on, but my tip for her is that it’s better to change this attitude before she steps the boundaries of someone who does not share the same sense of humour as her. I’ve seen this before in other well-rated places - just because you are working at a place that is getting good recommendations, it does not mean that those who do not look like your usual clientele, deserve to be looked down upon. You don’t know your customers background - not all of us like to show the amount of our wallets by wearing designer clothes. I guess it’s only for the best that I came up with all the snappy comebacks after we left the restaurant as it has saved me from falling to the same low level of culture as the server I have just described. I wonder what do they say there for guests who come with kids who 9/10 times do not care about the tablecloths. Maybe you should put a sticker ‘no kids or messy people allowed’ in case you feel like the service I just described is justifiable? Vegetarian options: Not too many, but enough and also tasty. Generous amount of gnocchi’s with a fulfilling creamy veggie sauce. Veggie burger has a nice crusty bun and comes with a healthy yet very tasty selection of fries made of carrots, beets and (our guess) parsnip complemented by truffle mayo which is not overwhelmingly truffle-y. The food is to die for. Every course is an experience. This makes it really fun to eat in a restaurant. Fine wines, friendly service. We were guests in October and were just as impressed. The only disadvantage is that guests sometimes discuss loudly at the bar. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
