Quite simply the best restaurant around. From the plate to the dessert and the service, you will never be disappointed. Run there with your eyes closed. Special mention for their “Plan Cru” evenings with unlimited carpaccio, salmon tartare and beef tartare I highly recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had been following the Cafe du Havre on FB for weeks now, I intended to have lunch on Saturday 3rd June en-route to the Black Forest, I had even chosen the meal I wanted from the menu which was updated for this weekend. So, I leave UK Friday evening, arrive Calais 00.30 Saturday, overnight on my motorcycle through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and finally into Nord Vosges. I arrive at Cafe du Havre around 11.00 to be told “no food”. I was slightly stunned by this statement so just left. The 1 star is for politely being given directions to the local bakery.
