Café du Soleil is a charming and authentic restaurant located in the Petit Saconnex area of Geneva. The restaurant has been around for centuries, and its 400 year old walls are filled with history and character. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The menu offers a variety of traditional Swiss dishes, such as fondue, Malakoff cheese, beef entrecôte, and meringue with double cream. The portions are generous, and the food is fresh and delicious. The wine selection is also good, and the prices are very reasonable for Geneva. Café du Soleil is definitely worth a visit for a taste of authentic Swiss cuisine. Highly recommended!
We arrived a little suspicious, since, despite being highly recommended, the place was further away from where we were staying and a bit hidden. Soon a square opened up, with other restaurants, and we felt more comfortable. We entered and it was a very homey place, the kind that tourists don't go to, but rather the residents. You could clearly see that it was a place frequented by local people. The service was great and very relaxed. The food came quickly and was delicious! The focus is on Franco-Swiss food and the portions are huge and very well made. I highly recommend it! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Typical and always perfect...old Geneva bistro, the fondue is excellent as is everything else, never been disappointed for many years! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I came here for the fondue and love it! It's very tasty, flavorful and also satisfying. I ate it until the last drop hahaha. Cafe du Soleil has always been part of my culinary journey in Geneva. Being posted here back in 2007 - 2011, I always try to sneak back whenever I'm around (which is quite frequent). I usually go with the fondue, but I also enjoy their steak (the fries are so crispy and yummy with the beurre or butter for the steak) as well as the grilled fish and salad. They have outdoor seatings, perfect for a lovely lunch in beautiful weather. But the inside dining room is also fun, especially the upper floor. I'm not so sure though about accessibility.. it might not be that easy for those using wheelchairs to move around but they can certainly stay in the lower floor. Parking: Parking is available but not that easy. You can get one near the area, but during lunch time it might be challenging to do so Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mixed Salad, Cheese Fondue in Action for 2, Steak and Fries Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking

It sounds like you enjoyed it to the very last drop! And yes, it’s hard not to crave those crispy fries and that buttery goodness on the steak… We’re thrilled to be part of your Geneva culinary journey since way back in the day. As for accessibility, you're right; the upstairs can be tricky, but we do our best to keep the ground floor cozy and welcoming for everyone! Here’s to many more delicious returns, whether it’s fondue or something new on your next visit! À bientôt, OliviaMore
