My favourite place for brunch!! My second time coming to cafe lounge, been to both locations now and couldn’t recommend enough. The food is amazing and great value for money, service is quick, friendly and polite. We didn’t book for our table so had to wait with our baby and family but Mariana (I believe that’s her name sorry if it’s wrong) at the front desk was so lovely and got us a table quickly for our big group! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had an amazing time at the Rochester branch. Our booking was for 3pm, and we arrived around 10 minutes early. Unfortunately, the customers seated at the table reserved for us didn’t move on when their allocated time had finished (3pm). If you know there’s a time limit for bookings/seating (I think around 1 hour 30 minutes), it’s important to be mindful of other guests waiting. The staff handled the situation really well. They informed the customers that their time was up and explained that the next booking — myself and my 11-year-old niece — were waiting, but they still refused to move. Despite this, the team managed to arrange another table for us at around 3:20pm and kindly gave us two free drinks for the wait and our understanding. The food was lovely overall. The Kinder Bueno milkshake was 10/10! I wasn’t too keen on the passionfruit smoothie as it wasn’t sweet enough for my taste. My niece had the chicken waffle meal, which she rated 10/10. I had the brioche chicken with eggs and a sauce — it was a little too spicy for me, so I’d give it a 6/10. Previously, I’d tried the Mediterranean breakfast and that was definitely a 9/10. The tiramisu French toast was delicious — not overly sweet, just right, 9/10. As you can imagine, we couldn’t finish everything and ended up taking the tiramisu home. We’ll definitely be visiting again. The service at the Rochester branch is by far better than the Meopham/Gravesend branch. This was my first visit to Cafe Lounge, and overall was very impressed. However, there were a few negative points. First, the noise levels were unbearable, we were a party of 5 and found speaking and hearing our conversation almost impossible. The next point is the size of the tables, 5 drinks and 5 meals and 5 small glasses of water was almost impossible to accomodate on the table without removing a few items. A few items of soft furnishing/screens to absorb sound and slightly bigger tables and things will be perfect. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20
