Ristorante Pizzeria Castello absolutely restored my faith in eating out in Rome. After days of being asked for 5‑star reviews by places serving food that barely deserved 2, I was ready to give up on Google ratings altogether. Then I walked into Castello. The food here is legit — full stop. No gimmicks, no begging for praise, just genuinely great dishes made with care. Everything tasted like what you hope Roman food will taste like before you arrive. And the gentleman outside? Fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into the right place at the right time.
