What an absolute dump. We were caught and fell into the trap of going in by a blonde lady saying they had air con . Proceeded to take us to the very back of the caffe whereby we watched a group of ladies querying their bill, unbeknownst to us at that time we would be doing the same. The place was hot, dirty and the 'Italian' food was served in Balti bowls. The staff were not Italian. The beer cost 9 euros for half a pint, the electric forno lasagne was 16 euros. That was for a small dish . It appears that this caffe and its staff prey on people coming straight out of the Vatican. Knowing they will need refreshments and as in our case food. The day we were caught it was 39 degrees. Don't fall for it, keep walking as it is likely to sour what should have been a good holiday experience . Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Caffè Leonina was a convenient stop during our visit to the Vatican. After spending time around St. Peter's Square, it was nice to sit down, relax, and enjoy a coffee while taking in the atmosphere of one of the most visited places in the world. The location is hard to beat—just a short walk from the Vatican—and the service was friendly and efficient despite the busy tourist area. The cappuccino was excellent, and it provided a welcome break before continuing our day of exploring Rome. If you're visiting St. Peter's Basilica or the Vatican Museums and need a place to recharge with a good coffee, Caffè Leonina is a great choice. Price per person: €1–10
