Having seen Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum, it's time to have a rest at Cake Box Rochdale. Take your family with you and have nicely cooked cupcakes and good creamy cakes. This place is suitable for visitors who have lunch in a hurry because they can order food as a takeaway. The terrific staff welcomes guests all year round. The prompt service is something these restaurateurs care about. Reasonable prices are what you will pay for your meal. There is nice atmosphere at this spot. Google users like Cake Box Rochdale: it was granted 4.7 stars.

Their cakes are really nice when they're fresh, however it would have been better if they used a little less icing on the outside. It feels like a good 20% of the cake is just icing. Now onto the bad. Their cake pots are very disappointing. At least they were on our most recent visit. We selected three different flavours. Plain Chocolate, Dubai Chocolate and Strawberry. All three were missing one key component - a soft cake center. That is the heart of the dessert and if that's missing, then you're in for a world of disappointment. The Strawberry one in particular was the most egregious. It had a funky almost petroleum like taste to it. I don't think I'll ever get their Cake Pots again. Their Cakes do still hold up quite well, which is why I've still given Cake Box Rochdale 3 stars out of 5.
