Right after seeing Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum, come for a meal. Come here for perfectly cooked cupcakes and good creamy cakes if you are hungry. Cake Box Rochdale with takeaway food is good for those clients who like to have lunch on the go. The staff is friendly that's what makes this place so nice. Fast service is something that guests highlight in their reviews. This spot offers you a great choice of dishes at attractive prices. As people see it, the atmosphere is spectacular here. Stale and expired products that taste awful. Customer service atrocious. Attractive packaging hiding very low quality products. They acknowledge the complaints, promise to improve but never bother to offer refund or compensation for the loss incurred by victim customers. Avoid this place like the plague! Price per person: £10–20

Their cakes are really nice when they're fresh, however it would have been better if they used a little less icing on the outside. It feels like a good 20% of the cake is just icing. Now onto the bad. Their cake pots are very disappointing. At least they were on our most recent visit. We selected three different flavours. Plain Chocolate, Dubai Chocolate and Strawberry. All three were missing one key component - a soft cake center. That is the heart of the dessert and if that's missing, then you're in for a world of disappointment. The Strawberry one in particular was the most egregious. It had a funky almost petroleum like taste to it. I don't think I'll ever get their Cake Pots again. Their Cakes do still hold up quite well, which is why I've still given Cake Box Rochdale 3 stars out of 5.
