This place is great! The bahn mi are super good. Usually get the pork and have them add an egg. Food is fresh and the bread is amazing. The woman that is usually behind the counter midday is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Totally recommend this place.

Called to order, worker answered 1st sentence "WHAT is it!" . Whole conversation was like I'm too busy and why are you calling. Totally rude and shouldn't be working there!!! Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Not sure if Covid has caused this place to slip a little bit but my last order (in a very long time) was a touch off than I remember. That being said, I still love the bánh mì sandwiches from Cali Baguette Express. It's all about the rotisserie chicken and BBQ pork bánh mì for me. They're probably the most tame of the ingredients in comparison to the other sandwiches and because of that I feel like the settle just right after eating them - fairly light, but always flavorful. It does seem that the prices have gone up a bit too, but hey, we're all in survival mode at this point. Where things didn't hit quite right was with the fried egg rolls. I much prefer the rice paper rolls and the six that I had added to my order lacked crispiness and were more rubbery and tough than they've been in the past. Perhaps they'd been sitting under that warming lamp for a while? I believe so...
