Solid, traditional spit & sawdust Mexican food. Fonda Chapala is an outdoor market-side restaurant, so it's noisy and bustly in a uniquely Mexican way. Service is super-friendly and welcoming, and there's hardly a gringo in sight. The menu is predictably basic, but the quality of the food is excellent. If you're coming to the Municipal Market, this is an excellent spot to get a taste of the real Mexico. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
