The food was good, but unfortunately, the service was not. We came here for my friend’s birthday dinner and waited about 30 minutes before anyone even took our order. When our order was finally taken, one of our friends, who has a gluten allergy, felt basically dismissed and was told there was essentially nothing available for her to eat. After waiting about an hour for our food, I went to speak with the manager about the situation. Instead of really addressing our concerns, the manager made several excuses and eventually told us, “Sorry, we aren’t perfect.” I understand that restaurants get busy and things don’t always go perfectly, but the way a problem is handled makes a big difference. Unfortunately, the service and management response put a damper on what was supposed to be an enjoyable birthday dinner. The food itself was good, but based on our experience with the service, I would not recommend coming here if you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable night out. Candle Bar in Lubbock is such a cool spot, right in the heart of the 806! The drinks are amazing, especially anything made with Michu Mezcal — it takes the cocktails to another level. The food is great too, everything packed with flavor. Such a unique vibe you don't find everywhere. If you're in Lubbock, this place is a must-visit! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
