After enjoying Hozomon, visit this restaurant which is not far away. Trying good sandwiches is a pleasant experience here. You will appreciate great coffee at Candy.
A number of guests consider the staff knowledgeable. Many people highlight that the service is cool. The atmosphere of this place is lovely. But google users rated this place and it didn't achieve a high rating.

I understand there is an issue between China and Japan, or whatever that is. But the man is trying everything to not serve me. First saying I’m holding an outside drink but it is a garbage I’m holding cos i got no where to toss it. Then I folded the cup and put in my purse and tried again, then he said no Chinese. Then I’m like but I’m Canadian. Then he pointed out my tattoo. Said no tattoo. I’m like ok and walked out. But I’m sure food is delicious. At least from the display.

Guess people are being way too arrogant if you think you don't have to follow the rules set by the shop owners. I appreciate the quiet and mobile free moment during the time I spent here with my partner and old grandpa was actually very friendly that he even asked us if we are ok with reading the menu otherwise there are food samples outside of the shop. Still seeing so many photos here on google review is kind of funny and if you don't respect them, why should they be polite to you? I know they could look a bit grumpy but I admire people who stick to their own rules and still operate business at this age especially in hospitality. Will come back if I visit Japan again! Thank you so much. Meal type: Other Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Not my bad experience but posting what I saw. Three tourists who were Japanese two in kimono and the father sitting ordered an expensive ice cream Sunday. They went to take a picture because it looked nice and the old lady said no pictures. What? Why? They weren’t even taking a picture of them or the coffee shop (which I did secretly for the hell if it because that’s ridiculous). Then a few moments later they are being barked at by the old man that this is Japanese coffee shop and you don’t do this you don’t do that in English to the Japanese family. Then ordered them to eat. Bizarre. I was just here to read my paper and drink my coffee but I don’t like it when people are so rude like that. It looks like this coffee shop has been here for 70 years and they’ve probably been there that long. I’m sure they hate the tourists. But they should be grateful and not so mean spirited. They are in a holy place after all and they are so bitter for their old age. Very sad. Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
