Come here for a meal right after visiting Museum of Contemporary Art. Good focaccia, salads and scallops are the best dishes. Some visitors like delicious wine at this restaurant. This place is famous for great coffee.
There is a beautiful view from Canvas. The prompt service is always a pleasure. This place scored 4.5 in the Google rating system.

Beautiful setting overlooking the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. I used to come here for a coffee after visiting the MCA when the 4th level was open as a public cafe space. It definitely feels more formal now as a restaurant venue. Visited Canvas for a girls’ lunch and really enjoyed it. Food was well presented and the service was lovely. Still one of the best views in the city. Price per person: A$80–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. We unfortunately were a bit rushed as a party of eight trying to make it to another event and therefore under time constraints, so it was a bit of a rushed service. Do not expect to have a quick bite here. That being said I would absolutely expect this to be a beautiful place to have dinner or lunch with a gorgeous view along the water. It was just our luck that the view of the Sydney Opera House was obscured by a large cruise boat but if I am ever back in Sydney I will be sure to come back for a more in depth experience. Although we only got the two course prix fixe menu, the atmosphere, service, plating, flavor, technique (each dish was unique and well cooked), and attention to detail were flawless and match that of some Michelin experiences that I have experienced in the US. I would absolutely say this smashed it and will be recommending it if you are interested in a fine dining experience. It was totally worth it IMO. The stars of the experience: The crudo, the toothfish, the waygu and the granita were divine (sorry I did not get more photos, it was a bit rushed!) The granita (not pictured) will honestly go down in my memory as one of my favorite desserts of all time. Price per person: A$100–120 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
