Extreme mismanagement and a hostile environment. The information about the mosque /MASJED being open 24 hours is completely incorrect. It is locked with padlocks. Most of the endowments cannot be entered, while some Muslims enter with a fingerprint and a special password that they have. On February 23rd (the 6th of Ramadan), I was treated with extreme contempt. I am a Muslim refugee mother who came to pray and rest with my children. Five women interrogated me, and then a man named Wajid violently entered the women's section without permission, shouting, threatening to call the police, and hurling insults, including "You're a liar." He was extremely aggressive, ignoring my identification, which I showed him to avoid his wrath. He even shouted with the women, "She's an Arab! Get her out immediately!" (The Arabic word was more hateful than his request for them to communicate with me in the same language.) He treated it as a crime. After the prayer, he used the microphone to insult me and incite people against me and my children, describing my entry and sleeping in the mosque as something reprehensible. This is not the way of the Prophet. A place of worship should be a sanctuary of peace, not a place of hatred and racism. I have filed a formal complaint and will not remain silent about this abuse. The intimidation and shock my children experienced, and their request that I not enter any mosques because of this man's behavior.

One of the nicer sections of Middlesborugh's town centre, and it was even nicer with its Christmas decorations up! It was very generously decorated with lights lining the buildings (especially the wall of Level X!). The large tree in the centre was very good too, it added a lot to the feel of the place. All around the year, this place is a nice place to eat, sit down and relax, not just at Christmas; I really do enjoy it when I'm here. Highly recommend!
