I placed a to-go order of flounder, white fish, catfish and a side of shrimp. The food was hot and ready when I got there. The cashier at the window provided a present exchange and the food was very good. It was just as I expected. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Recommended dishes: Sea Food Platter, Fried Shrimp, Fried Flounder

The Captain’s Cap located at 670 Park St, Belmont, NC 28012 is my new favorite Seafood Restaurant in the Charlotte area by a very good margin. Perfectly seasoned Seafood and fresh, REALLY fresh. I got the fried Combo with Shrimp and Scallops and the Scallops were among the best I’ve had anywhere including Boston. I’m spoiled coming from the North and this is truly the only really great Seafood Restaurant I’ve been to in the Carolinas. Typically the local fish places are extremely salty breaded - these weren’t. Flavorful, not remotely dull, but it wasn’t the salt lick I’m so accustomed to around here. And the prices - low, really, really low for the quality and quantity I got. Recently went to Red Lobster and got their Seafood which I really ripped into their place as being low quality and expensive. This was the opposite. Try the Garlic Bread too - gigantic family of 4 portion for under $3. My server was a sweetheart too! Quick, checked back often and was very welcoming. Manager is the Son of the Founder - this is a family owned Restaurant. Bravo! Parking: Big lot Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sea Food Platter, Fried Oysters, Jumbo Shrimp, Onion Rings, Fried Shrimp Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

Best grilled chicken & huspuppies in the world. My sister had the jumbo grilled shrimp. After the salad bar, I'm full! — eating lunch at The Captain's Cap-Belmont.
