I recently visited Carnitas El Guero on Tidwell in Houston, TX. Overall, it wasn’t too bad, but it also didn’t fully meet my expectations. The presentation of the food was amazing — everything looked really good when it came out. Unfortunately, the taste was missing something for me. The service was okay, but it could definitely be improved. We had to call the server over several times, and there were a few mistakes with our order, including missing food items. One thing I really didn’t like was that water was leaking from the roof onto part of my food. That definitely affected the experience. Would I come back again? Honestly, I don’t think so. I’d say it’s worth a one-time visit, and your experience might be better than mine. The food presentation was great, but the taste and service just didn’t fully deliver during my visit.
