That's a nice idea to order nicely cooked carnitas, birria and tortillas. The professional staff reflects the style and character of this restaurant. Decent service is something that guests would like to improve here. Democratic prices are what you are to pay for your meal. Enjoy the homey atmosphere here. As far as whole in the wall places for Mexican food comes this is it. If you're looking for real nitty gritty grimmy mexican food you've found the right spot. With that in mind the place is very simple which is okay if you're there for the food. Service could be better but staff seems constantly overwhelmed by the high volume clientele but always very friendly. This is pork lovers heaven , not one part goes to waste. Everything from tripe, to chicharron. Prices are okay, but definitely not the cheapest. The wait can sometimes be frustrating, and it seems like the taste can sometimes be a hit or miss but overall enjoyable. For a taste that is close to south of the border Carnitas Machetes do their absolute best to bring that to Milwaukee.
