I've eaten BBQ in the Carolinas before. This is every bit as good. I had brisket and pulled pork, with a side of baked beans and potato salad. All amazing. The brisket was tender, and oh so juicy, the bun it was sitting on soaking ut up. The pulled pork was fall apart tender and full of flavor. Sauces are on the table and range from an apple butter sauce to spice levels that will make your lips tingle. Good value for money, friendly staff. Next time I think I'll try the ribs. Price per person: $20–30

I ordered the 1/2 lb brisket with three sides: smoked mac and cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing. The biggest letdown was the smoked mac and cheese. It had no cheese, wasn’t creamy, and lacked flavor—even salt. The pasta shells weren’t coated in any sauce and it felt like the dish was rushed. Had I checked it before leaving, I would have asked for a replacement. I have photos to demonstrate. The brisket was decent, their signature barbecue sauce added good flavor and made it enjoyable enough to eat. The cornbread was also very dry and tasted stale, almost like it had been sitting out for a while. The one bright spot was the employee who took my order. He was friendly, patient, and courteous despite appearing very busy. It seemed like the restaurant may have been short-staffed, and I appreciated his professionalism. Yes, Tina today was a rough day with only one employee. the person that I had in the back cooking felt that he needed to operate like McDonald’s and get stuff out and expedited manner. if you would like to come back in and try us again it would be on us. Please let me know. Thanks
