Found myself in New Cumberland at lunchtime today & wanted to try a new venue - found it tucked away along 4th Street. Very nice-looking dining area! I planted myself at one of the high tables & soaked in the vibe - nice instrumental music with 2 TVs displaying scenery. A gentleman (the owner, I believe) arrived promptly with a menu & took my drink order. I started off with a cup of Mushroom Soup which is about the tastiest I've had in this area. Also had the Turkey, Bacon & Cheddar Sandwich which was simple yet full of flavor.... and they didn't skimp on butterin' up the bread ;) Was fairly busy, but not too loud - If I would've had more time I would've hung out longer. Would like to come back for the breakfast menu! Recommended!

We ate at Carpe Diem for the first time today, Mother’s Day, and were not impressed. The staff was very friendly but overwhelmed about how busy they were, but only half the restaurant was full. They struggled to provide good service. The food was priced like a high-mid range restaurant, but we felt the quality was only a baby step above a standard diner. We most likely will not be back, sorry Carpe Diem folks. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20
