I went for the carvery .. I asked if I could have mashed potatoes instead of roast (yes I know sacrilege - most of you expect roast potatoes not me..) but that’s why I scored middle of the table..that and the veg wasn’t great the carrots were good leeks and cauliflower cheese well they left a lot to be desired and as for the peas.. pellets BUT the BEEF OMG the best beef I have ever had in a carvery so that I would give 10/10 definitely worth a visit hubby had steak Fajitas he said was great Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

️ Carvery Comfort Done Right We visited Carriages at the Devon Hotel in Matford, Exeter, and all six of us went for the carvery roast — and it was excellent . I’m not usually someone who rates carveries highly, but this one genuinely impressed me, especially the fantastic choice of vegetables and the superb gravy that really brought everything together . The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a great buzz — particularly impressive for a busy Monday afternoon .
