Caruso, located in Mülheim, offers Mediterranean cuisine in a stunning ambiance that transports diners to a castle-like setting. The interior design is grand and impressive, with high ceilings and elegant decor. The establishment caters to larger events and has a fine dining spot feel. Prices are on the higher end, but the quality of food and service justifies the cost. The location is convenient and easily accessible, situated near the Stadthalle and the Ruhr river.
Caruso's brunch buffet is a must-try, with a wide variety of dishes such as perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, bacon, and an assortment of Mediterranean specialties. The warm dishes are flavorful, and the seafood options, like the fresh shrimp from the wok, are particularly noteworthy. For dessert, the ice cream is a standout, but be aware that most desserts contain alcohol.
The establishment also offers catering, and while the quality can vary, the Krimi Dinner is recommended for both its tasty food and entertaining murder mystery theme. The drink menu is limited, with only filter coffee available at brunch, but the service is attentive and friendly.
Overall, Caruso is a great place for special occasions or a fancy brunch with friends or family. Its unique ambiance and delicious Mediterranean cuisine make it a standout eatery in Mülheim.
We celebrated our wedding at Caruso on a Saturday and were absolutely thrilled. The proximity to the registry office in Broich Castle and the great location on the Ruhr (we rented the Ruhr terrace for the champagne reception) combine with a unique, Art Deco-like hall and absolutely flawless service. We and our guests also really enjoyed the food, which is particularly remarkable since 2/3 of the buffet was vegan and vegetarian. This is a quality that not every caterer has. We can fully recommend Imhoff (operator) and the Caruso itself. The price-performance ratio was also right because it really was a perfect evening. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
