Everytime I'm in Tijuana, I go to Casa Cacao. I love getting a coffee with fresh cacao in the morning, along with any of their molé dishes. The owners, José and Rosa, always treat me with the utmost respect and provide stimulating conversations. Everything about Casa Cacao is a great experience. I can't wait to go back. Support small businesses!! Excellent service! They speak enough English Such a cute & clean gourmet chocolate shop for drinks and sweets! Really enjoyed the sitting room, different jars of goodies being sold (trying the black and the red mole when I make chicken, unsure how it'll be since the second ingredient is sugar). I really wanted to bring home their amazing Guava Marmalade but it was sold out. I almost want to return soon just to get this one item (though several jars as gifts). The guava jam was good but didn't stand out like the marmalade. Ask for a taste when you're there. Nut pie was delish! Similar to a less sweet pecan pie. Sweet enough but not overly sweet. Definitely worth trying if you like nuts. Champuraddo con expreso drink wasn't as thick as I thought it would be, though much of it was later found at the bottom of the mug. Not to my liking since it's not sweet and has a bitter taste (unlike too much dark chocolate, can't put my finger on it). Canela hot chocolate (cinnamon) was much better! I preferred this to the champuraddo. Everyone else raved about their frozen hot chocolate, think shake style. Looked good. I'll probably try that next time on a hotter day.
