Casa Nuri, tucked away in the Delta del Ebro near Riumar, feels less like a restaurant and more like a small institution devoted to rice, sea breeze, and the noble Catalan art of lingering at the table a little too long. With over 11,000 Google reviews and a solid 4.3 rating, expectations arrive before the bread does — thankfully, the kitchen keeps up rather well. The menu leans heavily into local tradition: seafood paella, arroz negro, fideuà, eel dishes, mussels, croquetas, grilled squid, oysters on ice the sort of food that reminds you Mediterranean cuisine was never meant to be rushed. The tasting menus are particularly good value — generous, unapologetically abundant, and designed for people who still believe lunch is an event rather than a logistical interruption. The location does half the seduction. Sitting beside the Ebro River, near the little tourist boats, the terrace catches that peculiar Delta light — soft, reflective, almost theatrical by late afternoon. Inside, the atmosphere is rustic without trying too hard, spacious yet lively. Service can occasionally drift into that wonderfully Southern European philosophy where clocks are treated more as decoration than instruction manuals, but somehow it suits the place. You come here for patience, rice cooked properly, and a reminder that civilisation may, after all, simply be seafood shared slowly beside water. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
