First time here, heard awesome things about the great food so we came on Saturday. It was busy at 7:30 pm, but found a place at the bar. The bar tender was super busy, but got our drink order and someone brought us chips and salsa which allowed her time to catch up and us time to look over the menu. I ordered Beef Fajitas and a Margarita, wow the meat was plentiful and super tender. Great experience, super friendly staff and food came out crazy fast for being so busy. Can't wait to come back and try another dish!! We chatted with the owner who was working clearing tables, that was impressive to have the owner on the floor working. Highly recommend ! So there was some recent trauma in kdub1969's review life. A few months back I found my favorite mexican restaurant ever. Unfortunately it closed in July. Happy days are here again. I found its replacement. Casa Torres now fills that vacancy. My boss lives in Decatur and has been suggesting I try it. I kept putting it off until today. The restaurant itself is a very upscale looking place inside and out even though it isn't at all. It's very casual and comfortable. I chose to sit at the bar because I didn't want to occupy a whole table being just me. The bartender Marilyn was my waitress. Very sweet, friendly, and attentive without being too much so ifykyk. I say funny because the look on her face when I placed my order was hilarious. I ordered a steak ranchero which comes with rice, beans, salad garnish and tortillas, a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce, and a burrito loco with queso. It's a lot of food. When my order came out I couldn't help but notice the lady sitting a few barstools down from me. Her facial expression was saying...yeah right, no way you're eating all that. Well she was right, I ate everything except a few bites of the burrito. I had to save room for my strawberry cheesecake. My meal was amazing. The stand out had to be the chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce. SO. GOOD. The steak was good and the burrito was delicious. Conclusion is I have a new favorite mexican restaurant. Just should've been weeks ealier if I had listened to my boss. I will have no problem recommending Casa Torres to people. Great job Marilyn! As always God bless and kdub out. So many times, we have driven from Lawton, OK to Dallas and we usually stop at some QSR in Decatur, TX, but today we decided to do something different and we had the best service and the best Steak Fajitas ever. Casa Torres Mexican Restaurant is the new norm for us when traveling to the Big D!
